“Beauty is the harvest of presence.”

the mission here

Blessed be the longing that brought you here
And quickens your soul with wonder.

May you have the courage to listen to the voice of desire
That disturbs you when you have settled for something safe.

May you have the wisdom to enter generously into your own unease
To discover the new direction your longing wants you to take.

May you come to accept your longing as divine urgency.
May you know the urgency with which God longs for you.”

― John O'Donohue, To Bless the Space Between Us: A Book of Blessings

Several years ago I realized that my greatest joy was to create spaces for encounter — to encounter God, ourselves, and this wild and holy gift we call life. I do that in several ways.

  • First, I am a designer and create physical spaces that reflect all the beauty, comfort, peace, and whimsy we use to describe home.

  • Second, I am a spiritual director and enjoy hosting a few moments for someone to pause and deeply listen to their own heart and how God might be speaking to them within ordinary life.

  • Third, I create retreats for women to slow down and rest in the beauty of being God’s beloved.

  • And fourth, I am a writer, an artist, and a gardener that finds it easiest to pray while wrestling with words, or gripping a paintbrush, or sinking my fingers into the dark soil.

This is a place for me to curate some special words, images, teachings, and offerings that will hopefully create the you the space your soul needs to take root, flourish, and bloom right where you are — all while resting beneath the roof of God’s unhurried love.

“One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.” —Psalm 27:4
