Bird nests have always inspired me. The gentle, intentional gathering up of small items as they weave together a soft place for new life to grow wings — it’s just a sacred thing. I painted this piece with the same process and intention: little scraps of words and images from magazines, hand-pressed flowers from my garden, little scraps of fabric from quilting, a little free-hand painting and blending, woven together into a meaningful piece that honors your attention especially if you choose to get really close.
Painted with acrylics, pressed flowers, fabric, and mixed media.
